Guitar-stool.com has launched!

We're pleased to announce that the Guitar-stool.com website is now live.

Our client, Roger Cox, creates amazing wooden stools and chairs, shaped like guitars. Each one is lovingly crafted from the finest locally sourced hardwoods, and each is unique.

His new website will give him the ability to update it himself, although Roger has already admitted he'll probably leave it to manage my website. It makes sense really, as it will give him the time to do what he does best. We also designed a business card and flyer for him.

Stuck for an interesting gift for that special someone? Why not take a look?

May website update and an ode to Syria!

manage my website have had an incredible time since the last Journal entry, working on several new websites, receiving enquiries from an eclectic range of potential clients, and squeezing in the holiday of a lifetime!

At the moment we're in the process of testing three websites ready for launch:

The new website for Deadly is the Female burlesque clothes shop in Frome is almost ready and looks fantastic. Apart from their stunning clothes and accessories, the real star of the show is their lovely little dog, Go Go Gomez, who plays a major part in their new logo.

We're also about to launch a great new website for a tool hire business in Oswestry, which allows their customers to browse their products, and enquire about hiring each one. They hire out just about anything you care to mention when it comes to compact plant and tools, so setting up their product database has been interesting to say the least!

Have you ever had a yearning to order a custom made wooden stool that's shaped like a Fender Stratocaster guitar? Well in a few days time you'll be able to do just that on the Guitar-stool.com website, which is about to launch. We've branded it and built it, so it will be coming your way in a matter of days...

A while ago we showed you the new Swirleeze sweet shop logo. We're going great guns with the new website now, and we're hoping to launch it in June. It's going to have a brilliant flash animation on the homepage that will have you salivating at your desks!

We're also working on websites for a kitchen shop, an Islington pub, and a bath-based vintage furniture emporium plus we've recently quoted on all manner of websites, from professional show jumpers and luxury men's gadget shops to designer underwear and moustache wax.

And the holiday? I went to Syria with my family in April and had the most fantastic time. When we told our friends and colleagues where we were heading, we were met with raised eyebrows that could only signify "why would you want to go there?!"

Once the centre of the Islamic Empire, Syria covers an area that has seen invasions and occupations over the ages, from Romans and Mongols to Crusaders and Turks. A country of fertile plains, mountains and deserts, it is home to diverse ethnic and religious groups, including Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, Alawite Shias and Druze, as well as the Arab Sunnis who make up a majority of the Muslim population.

Whatever your preconceptions about the country, please put them aside. I doubt you'd find more impressive scenery, or kinder, more generous and helpful people anywhere in the world. The food's delicious everywhere you go too, as the Syrian people are very proud of their cuisine. You can choose to get lost in ancient winding souks full of spices, sweets, clothes and jewellery, visit spectacular ruins and churches, or camp out in the magnificent Syrian desert and ride camels with the friendliest of Bedouins. I travelled with two other females and there wasn't a moment when we didn't feel safe and secure.

And so ends our May update. If you're interested in finding out more about our services, please do get in touch. If you're thinking of holidaying in Syria, we stayed at the following hotels and recommend them highly.

Damascus: The Hanania Hotel

Aleppo: Yasmeen d'Alep

Palmyra: Al Nakheel Hotel and Heart of Desert
