Dear Diary
I am simply beside myself with sheer excitement! At last my new fashion boutique is opening today! It most certainly was a mighty task to convert the back room of the hair salon into a fabulous fashion boutique!"
We're pleased to announce that the BettyLicious vintage-inspired clothing and lingerie website, incorporating a very retro style blog, is now live.
We were first contacted by our client, Anja, last September. She knew we had a reputation for project managing the design and build of quirky e-commerce websites for niche markets such as burlesque, vintage and moustache wax retailers and asked us to work on her branding and web design.
Adam Wyatt at Flipside Studio created high impact logo first, before moving onto the web design.
Anja wanted the BettyLicious attitude to be fun and flirtatious but innocent at the same time, with a 50's housewife feel. She loved pin-up girl art of the era and wanted to recreate that in the identity.
The site, built by Martyn James at Kinetic Pulse, uses the Zen Cart open e-commerce platform, enabling customers to buy online through a secure payment system.
Anja will be writing a guest Journal post for us very soon, but for the time being please make sure you check out BettyLicious. It's full of vintage-style treats!
