A Christmas round up of what we’ve been up to
Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 6:59AM With Christmas approaching fast I thought I’d put off shopping for that little bit longer to give you a taster of the projects we’ve been working on.
Captain Fawcett’s Moustache Wax
Now that the Captain’s website is live, we’ve been helping our client with his social media marketing and it’s been a lot of fun. His off-the-wall Edwardian tweets and status updates have attracted plenty of attention; the wax is about to be reviewed by the American Mustache Institute as well as the Moustache Mafia.
We now have a new found fascination about facial follicles and we’ll be working on developing the website further for early 2011.
Mimi Noor
We’re very happy to see that Mimi Noor designer denim has become a victim of her own success!
Her shop opened in Bath in November, and it’s kept Mimi and her team so busy that putting together their product information for the new website is taking far longer than anticipated. Now there’s a problem most people could only dream of! The full website will launch in early 2011.
PTS Hire
This Wakefield-based plant and tool hire business had a one page website initially, and asked manage my website to build them a site that would list each and every one of their products. They also wanted an HTML catalogue with flipping pages, a news page and the ability for their customers to enquire about each individual item available for hire.
manage my website was happy to oblige and the new Zen Cart website launched this month.
Alternatots
Our client, Julia Duroe, was referred to us by Deadly is the Female (whose website we built earlier in the year). Julia had been badly let down by her designer (who’d gone AWOL) and had an unfinished, very rough looking e-commerce store for her alternative children’s clothes.
We worked on her branding first, and then built her a Squarespace website, integrated with Wazala for the shopping functionality, which launched in November.
Your Executive Car
Julia’s brother Alex contacted us whilst we were working on the Alternatots website, and asked for a site to promote his luxury chauffeur service, based in Farnborough. He’d tried to build his own, but was struggling to find the time.
manage my website built Alex a Squarespace website that he can now update himself, and we wish him the very best of luck with his new venture!
plasticdrainage.co.uk
This successful plastic drainage pipe retailer contacted us a few months ago and asked us to rebrand his business, then build him a new website, using Open Cart.
We launched it earlier this month and are now working closely with our client to ensure everything runs like clockwork.
Village Green Soaps
Village Green Soaps contacted manage my website in September. Their new website is going to be really quite beautiful. Branding and packaging have been approved, photography is about to be booked in, and we hope to launch in January. All of their products are handmade and pure, with no added nasties. Watch this space!
Higher Concept Software
This Reading-based rental management software company have been utilising our copywriting service for the past two years. We’re currently busier than ever writing press releases, interviewing their delighted customers for testimonials, and coming up with wording for their new website and sales brochure.
SEO article writing
Next week will see the start of a new project, writing a series of relevant industry-related articles for a successful Wakefield-based access platform hire and sales business. We’ll be working closely with our client and their SEO team to ensure our copy is watertight.
So what’s coming up in the New Year? We’re quoting for websites for a London-based mental health charity, a greensman for major Hollywood movies, various clothes retailers, and an NHS drug and alcohol dependency unit amongst many others. It’s going to be a busy year but we're loving every minute of it!
All that remains for me to say is Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year from the team at manage my website!
